I just recently got my chance to do an interview with Kevin, president and owner of the Top Bucks.com sponsorship program. He gave me the scoop on the current TopBucks program and a little more about the company behind it. Here it is...
C-Pimp: I appreciate you giving me some of your time to do this interview for Cozy Frog. I love the new TopBucks design. The Flash is great!
Kevin: No problem. This is a great opportunity for me and I'd love to talk about our TopBucks program.
C-Pimp: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and a brief scoop on when the TopBucks program first launched? A bit of it's history
Kevin: I started in the industry full-time in 1995 when I realized that I could earn more money from running a site then from working as a web programmer. I opened up my own company and I am now the president and owner for both TopCash.com and TopBucks.com.

We launched TopCash in 1997 and it quickly became a very successful program. This past year we decided to launch TopBucks. By having the two programs we are looking to offer webmasters all the different types of pay programs. TopCash will have various pay-per-click options while TopBucks will offer a pay per sign-up, pay per active member, and a partnership program.
C-Pimp: You currently have three different programs to choose from, can you give an overview of each one and what they entail?
Kevin: Yes, with the TopBucks program we offer webmasters $35-$40 per trial sign-up, $45-$50 per active member, and 60%-65% partnership. We occasionally run specials to upgrade other webmasters to the higher payouts. I would like to present this special high payout offer to those webmasters reading this who sign up with TopBucks. We also have a webmaster referral program where webmasters earn 10% on all referred webmasters sales.
C-Pimp: If I am not mistaken TopBucks currently offers more than 30 websites to promote. Which niches do these sites cover and what kind of conversion ratios are your sites averaging at this time?
Kevin: We offer 3 different front-ends for each of our 17 niches, which include: teen, gay teen, hardcore, video, amateur, lesbian, big tit, fetish, asian, black, penis enlargement and sex guides, voyeur
Our newly launched sites are cartoon, gay men, Latina, mature, and facial niches.
Our sites enjoy some of the highest conversion ratios in the industry. Overall they convert about 1:300.
C-Pimp: If a webmaster signs up for your program and start producing at a high level, can he expect some sort of bonus of any kind or any added incentives? Also, do you currently offer free content for promotional purposes?
Kevin: Yes, webmasters who make at least 45 sales per two weeks pay period will receive the highest payouts. We also often do other bonuses to demonstrate our gratitude to our most successful webmasters.
C-Pimp: How often do you pay and what type of payment options do you offer?
Kevin: We pay out twice a month. We send out checks once webmasters have earned at least $50.00. For webmasters who earn earn over $2,500 we overnight payment and for webmasters who earn over $4,000 we can wire payment. We are usually very flexible and try to honor all of our webmasters' needs.
C-Pimp: How many people make up the TopBucks team and where are you located?
Kevin: Our office is currently based out of Tucson, Arizona and we have 10 great in-house employees working on everything from programming to graphic design to marketing.
C-Pimp: Currently there are tons of sponsor programs available to webmasters. Choosing one is becoming more and more difficult for most of us. What would you say sets you apart from the rest, the one thing that make TopBucks stick out from the rest?
Kevin: I think there are a couple things that make us stick out from the rest. First of all, although TopBucks is a new program, we still maintain the same quality reputation of our mother site- TopCash. Both programs are known for always paying on time. Also, the fact that we are constantly improving upon the system. We always try to make the program the most appealing to webmasters.
To accomplish this, we take all of our webmasters into consideration. We listen to what they want and we act on it. So far as a result, we have a program which offers extensive stats to help webmasters market our sites, great marketing tools, 24-hour webmaster support, lots of free content, and over 30 sites to promote. So I would have to say that we are setting our program apart from the rest simply by listening to the needs of all our webmasters.
C-Pimp: I have to ask, what is the story about the dude in the glasses we see just about everywhere now. You know the TopBucks mascot, he on the resources, magazines at trade shows, where did he originate from and what does he represent? Does he have a name? Kevin: Yes, that is our TopBucks cartoon spokesman who we call Waldo. He developed along with the TopBucks program and demonstrates that with TopBucks, you can go from rags to riches in no time.
C-Pimp: In our opinion which niche seems to be doing real good at this point in time, basically the one that converts best for your webmasters?
Kevin: Our video site, Ultravideos.com, does exceptionally well. With more and more people getting faster connections, surfers are able to get movie quality shows just by logging onto the Internet. This site offers movies for broadband dsl connections, as well as movies for standard connections.
C-Pimp: Do you offer your members any kind of help or support to help them make the most out of their efforts in promoting the TopBucks sites? Chat Boards, tips, all that good stuff.
Kevin: We offer 24-hour webmaster support. Webmasters can contact us and we do everything from answer questions, to offering suggestions, to troubleshooting. We are working on creating a chat area and a webmaster resource center for our webmasters as well.
C-Pimp: And finally, what in store for TopBucks during the upcoming months. Anything you want to plug out to all the webmasters reading this?
Kevin: Well, we are just about ready to release our newest sites and then we will be heading out to Miami to meet up with some of our current webmasters and recruit new webmasters. As I mentioned before, we are always looking to improve our program and are constantly working to do that.
