Hello folks,
I been thinking of getting a new design made for my site http://a1whs.com
and did some editing and came up with a test site , so which one would you say looks better :
1. The Test Site : http://a1whs.com/testsite

2. Original Current Site : http://a1whs.com

I like the test site better. The bluish background on the sides appeals to me more than the other site's color.

The new one but to be honest I don't really like the design..it looks too much like a template that was edited in a few places to enter your content.

I ran a hosting biz from 2002 until 2005 and your appearance is VERY important, I would spend a bit and get a new custom design, it will pay off in the long run.

Thanks for the feedback and john i plan to change themes and templates ever 3 to 5 months and hoping till i find "catchy one" so for probably next month i would try the blue one out for maybe a week or so. I have been getting good hits though got about 629 unique hits till 14th of this month and 2 or more clients so will change the theme to blue the next month , so anything that needs to be worked on the blue one cause most people on different forums like the blue one over the green one.

Just something to think about..people feel a lot more secure about a site that is stable and doesn't make a lot of changes, thats what I think anyway.

If you take a look at the big players how often do they change their design?

If you put a lot of time and effort (Or money) into a great design it will pay off and will save you a lot of work (Or money) than changing them about

Yes john i agree but i think that changes are good cause "rolling stone gathers no moss". But how appropriate that is for hosting company i am not sure.But i think most companies redesign their sites every 6 or 9 months.

I prefer the test site... it looks better than the original one.
Flash graphic quality is great, but I don't know why your pictures quality is so low, seems like images are dirty. Try to make them higher quality.
Everything for me is ok, except for images.

Yes the images look dirty cause i have used the least quality and max compression cause if i do vice versa it takes lots of time for the images to load. But maybe on the other new site will make them high quailty.

I think your better going for higher quality, people will have a better impression if your site is high quality

Most people are on broadband these days anyway so site loading time is becoming a lot less important.

Anyone not on broadband would be used to sites loading slow anyway
