Default How can I improve my adsense earnings?

Hey,
I am starting to work on one of my sites, www.AllDotNet.com

I used to have a different script and I made a lot more from adsense even 6 months ago than I do now, I don't know if it is because the templates/script and layout has changed, or it could even be that adsense payout is just a lot less, but I doubt it since the earnings have gone down a lot and my traffic has gone up a lot.

You can see the category listings here:

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi John

I like your site first of all. Looks like a good directory.

I can see a few ways you can improve your click through ratio ( CTR).

1. Try putting images next to the ads. This really works. The images don't
even have to be related to the content but if you can make it related it is even better.

Here is one of my sites that we just optimized for the adsense ads.
www.mypimpcodes.com In the middle you can see the adsense ads and right next to them are these funny images. By adding these images and doing a few other little tricks we got the ads CTR 4 to 5 times higher!

2. Try to blend in the ads to the website. For example, the ads with the green edge, make the edge white so you don't see it. The more you blend in the ads the better.

3. I would ad the link ads that go horizontal and have them near the top. These can be very effective and don't take up much space. Here is one of my other sites that has these ads right under the menu:

4. Just having more ads will help. I know you don't want to have too many and have your page look cluttered but I think your site can have three sets of ads on each page and look fine, especially if you have the link ads.

Yes, Tim is right, you shoud blend the ads because if the visitor
is interested, he will jump over the idea of ignoring the ads.

People are instinctively ignoring the ad block because they don't like them.

If you give them a reason to click, for example, blending them into the design, that would be a lot easier to determine have them click: they will see that as informative, and they click on it to learn more.

Of course, the techniques are unmettered, just make sure you know what to do. It's all about providing the ads to your visitors.

I love when AdWords brings visitors on my website, and I always thank to google for that, it's amazing. I just hate webmasters who aren't putting a lot of effort to optimise their websites. We want targeted traffic and that's why we love content oriented ads.

The most needed thing is that you should have good traffic. For increasing traffic to your website, you should advertise in various ways including free advertisement and classified websites. I have found these sites to be helpful in increasing the conversions of G ads.
