HostAddicts is not your average web hosting forum. Besides providing users with a friendly and lively community to discuss web hosting topics, our main aim is to provide users with something more, something that other web hosting forums don't offer. By offering something more, we hope to serve as "The Last Stop" for web hosting resources and discussion.

HostAddicts is hosted on a small reseller account. It uses very little space and less than 1GB of bandwidth each month.

Paid posters / registrations:

Around 200 of the members came from the referral contest where I paid members $0.50 for every member they referred to the forum. I have also paid a few (around 5-7) people from SitePoint to make 10 posts for $1.00 and it has worked out really well.

Majority of the forum members have come from search engines, advertisements/signatures on other forums, and link exchanges.

How has this site been promoted to date?

- I have joined a large number of webmaster and webhosting forums with the name "hostaddicts" and have advertised in their appropriate advertisement forums. I have also linked to HostAddicts from within my signature on all forums I visit. Feel free to search Google to find out more on how many forums I've visited and advertised at.
- I have paid some people to post as mentioned above.
- I have paid for some referral as mentioned above
- I have exchanged links with various webhosting / webmaster related sites and forums
- I have also submitted HostAddicts into various webmaster directories and search engines

Why I am selling?


The site is banned from Google Adsense for invalid clicks. I have taken the necessary procedures to appeal for a reinstatement, but was told that I could not be reinstated. It really sucks to be banned from Adsense, that's for sure. However, there is stil some hope, the buyer can contact Google and let them know they are the new owners. This would result in the ban getting lifted.

I really regret having to even think about selling my site, but with it being banned from Google, it just makes me feel that all my hard work is being put to waste. Pretty sure that would greatly affect the site's value, but what can I do about it, Google's decision on the appeal is final.
