Default which one is secure mysql or mssql?

mysql or mssql which one is safe??

In each mysql connection to the page we have to put mysql_connect(blah blah). When we type our password into that command, wouldn't that make it accessible for people to read? If so, how do you get around this? I know that if you view the source in the browser it doesn't show up because it has already executed but, if someone uses Getright or something like that they can still get the file and then get the password. right?

thanks

Not right

PHP do not display the contents when accessed via a browser. Also, if you do manage to download a PHP file with a download manager such as getright the file will simply be blank. A config file with your database connection typically contains no html whatsoever - so you will recieve a blank file. Overall mySQL is very safe, providing you keep your passwords safe.

The only difference in security you will encounter is how secure is your host.Your host must provide you the proper software to infiltrate those who want to cheat on your site. There is no difference really between mysql and mssql in terms of security.

What is mssql? I only use mysql because my web host only supports it.
I think mysql is the most popular among these, so many web hosts only support it?

Mysql is more widespread, i suggest you stick to it, so you can find experts if you encounter problems with your database software in the future.
