Link or Content - Which is the boss?

Hi,

Today, after we had completed a training session with our new link team, one of the senior trainees informed them that we would be having a debate on the topic "Link or Content - Which is the boss?"

As we all know and have been hearing that content is the king and link is the secondary aspect as regards to SEO, what would you guys opine on this subject in the modern SEO era. Would you go only with quality content or would you concentrate mainly on link building.

Lets share our experiences through this platform.

I vote for Link + Title + Alt tags properly used.
Most of the search engines grab that part first and if you search on Google ... You will see the keywords are first picked up from Link(plus Title and Alt). And then comes the description.
I believe I answered your question, if I understood it correctly.

Link over content maybe 60 to 40%...

It link over content since it is difficult to link builds and it takes time..

I think the two should be combine and added by keywords.....is the article is not interesting readers might not read it or if the link is not properly used and placed the optimization would be slow or it have no affect at all.
