Traffic exchanges

Do you value any kind of traffic exchanges? I wouldn't think they would help much at all, since many users are just using the traffic exchanges to earn credits for themselves and won't have a genuine interest in your site.

No...I have never done traffic exchange.

I have never and will never do post exchanges either, a lot of people do that but I think the posts would be very low quality.

I use them for traffic. More impressions to my ads, more money that's all.
Interested users will get my site, searching for it in search engines, that's is the difference between any type of traffic, and targeted audience.

If you want to use them, autosurf.org, hauntedhits.com, autosurf.cc, autohits.info are good ones to start.

Just looked at autosurf and i wonder if those 216 hits are unique hits or just page refreshes?If you have tried them can you tell if the hits are unique hits or just page views?

No page refreshes... but hits aren't unique unfortunately.
I'm member of the site, what you do is surfing for credits, then you select option to use your credits for visits to your site.
The credits will be used, until you have 0 credits, or put "save credits" option. Your page will be showed to all members surfing that time, how all members aren't surfing, it will be visited several times by same surfers.

If you want a recommendation, try to use your credits at night, mostly surfers use the site that time, and you will get more unique hits.

If you do this just to get more impressions its a very bad idea.

Why would advertisers want to advertise on a site that has visitors that aren't interested in what they are offering?

A lot of network will remove your site if you have a lot of impressions and few clicks (Low CTR).

I agree with john but this sort of thing could help you initially get recognised by big advertisers, even alexa ranking might improve and some big publishers look for alexa ranks while taking you in for their programs.

Impressions for my paid-to-promote.com ads... I don't use Google Ad Sense or Yahoo.
In the mentioned site for free webhosts, pay me for impression, there aren't text ads like Google ad sense, mostly of them are banners.
