Well, I run/manage two load-balanced RHEL machines sitting on Verio's
network; Full root access to them both - I can change and screw them up as
much as I dare (or rather, as much as our liability insurance will cover
) - But if the fecal matter really hits the rotary impeller, I can get a
Verio tech to fix my mistakes (at $US 175 / hour, of course).
I think that what others are basically saying is that if you're a *nix
Guru, then by all means, go for a colo somewhere; If you're *not*, though,
it's worth the peace of mind and extra few bucks to know there's someone
keeping an eye on the troops in case you make an honest mistake and don't
want to be out of the water for more than an hour or two while it's being
fixed
