Site loaded fast for me.
It looks good, but not that good. Image files are so big, so try to make thumbnails (resize image to a small size, and link it to the full size image).
Try to move Poll/vote to right side (under menu), counter to bottom of the page (where is copyright) and guestbook to bottom of the page, but not emphatize it a lot.
Just some suggestions, hope they can be useful.
